I am an ancient hippie who lives a peaceful and very simple life on a narrow boat with my two cats. I feel blessed.
I am retired now. I retired on New Year's Eve 2019. Late that summer I lost two of my siblings within a month of each other. It made me question why I was still working so I made the decision to hand my notice in.
I am arty...can paint, sculpt, craft and even make patchwork quilts. I have just finished one which was a 7 year project...two and a half thousand pieces all hand sewn. Style....slightly bohemian but can dress for a ball in Monsoon silk if needed...have a dress in the cupboard under my bunk I think.
I exercise most days.
Music tastes...When I was 14 I heard The Animals sing House of the Rising Sun. Everything after that was measured by this song...I was mesmerized by it. Love The Moody Blues, Melanie, Leonard Cohen and Deep Purple...early 70s rock. Mid 60s flower power of course. Oh and the music played at that amazing event Woodstock. Love classical music as well...a favourite piece being The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Some of that 70s rock was influenced, I think, by classical music.
I have no wish to travel the world so if you are looking for a travel companion pass me by.
I am looking for someone to light up my life who, when he puts his arms round me, makes me feel warm inside. I would like someone to walk and talk with, someone to smile with, someone to giggle with, someone to meander through life with. I am looking for that special person. Someone who is looking for peace and simplicity in their life. Someone not wanting to rush through life and who has time to smell the flowers and watch the sun go down...smiles. Someone I can care about and care for! Maybe between the ages of 68 and 74. He doesn't exist I know...hahaha. Non smokers only...thank you. |
